Hello and welcome to the "Vom Bakkerhaus Rottweilers"
home on the World Wide Web. Our
Rottweiler dedicated family consists of my wife, Rosemarie, my three children, Joseph,
Victoria and Matthew and myself Joe Baker. All of us contribute their
fair share of hard work and labor to maintain the qualities and high standards of this
wonderful working dog breed. My oldest son Joseph and myself are heavily
involved in training and showing our dogs in Schutzhund and conformation;
where the rest of the family does an excellent job in taking proper care for
all of our dogs, as well as raising and socializing our young dogs and
puppies.
We live on six rural acres nestled in the small town
of Wurtsboro, New York, located in the lower Catskills, approximately 90
minutes NW of New York City. Here we have a
small but very fine kennel facility. We strongly believe that
in order to maintain a high standard and quality a small set up is preferred.
This allows us to spend quality time and attention to each of our
Rottweilers and to all the people that presently or in the future will own a
"Vom Bakkerhaus" Rottweiler.
Owning and breeding Rottweilers is a very serious and utmost
passionate hobby to us. Only occasionally do we have
puppies from carefully selected
breeding stock, that has stable, outgoing, friendly temperaments and
is certified by OFA to be free of hip dysplasia. Our
puppies are born, raised, and well socialized in a clean family, home
environment, with lots of human contact, including children, to promote
the development of an outgoing, friendly and stable temperament.
It is our goal to breed a healthy Rottweiler with a sound temperament,
strong working ability of correct type and structure. Our Rottweilers are
therefore equally well suited as Show, Working (Schutzhund) and Family
Companion dogs. We have accomplished this mission by having bred many top
quality Rottweilers in the past and are very much determined to do so in
the years to come.
